Vygon staff training in support of patient care
Sales and training staff at Vygon (UK) Ltd have completed a new, extended training programme covering priority issues in acute care, infection control and blood-borne diseases in hospitals.
The courses – all accredited by either the Association for Perioperative Practice or the Royal College of Nursing – is in addition to the theatre access course that all Vygon sales and training teams undergo and there is an extra radiological protection course for those in product specialist roles.
Paul Allen, national sales manager at Vygon, says the new training programme is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to patient safety.
“As part of their work our sales and training teams have access to hospitals and Trusts across the UK. We work very closely with medical staff so we appreciate that now, more than ever, patient safety is a top priority in all hospitals. This new training regime is something we have implemented as a business to show support and commitment to this very important area. This new training means our employees are furnished with the relevant knowledge about the medical environments in which they are working.”
The knowledge and learning provided by the extra courses ensures that when Vygon staff enter hospitals, wards and operational areas they are thoroughly trained and prepared for what is required of them.
