A hands-on morning facilitated by expert anaesthetic and surgical faculty.
Dissect porcine hearts under guidance from cardiac surgeons and get a tactile feel and appreciation for the structures we see in black and white on TOE.
Alongside the wet lab, HeartWorks TOE simulators will allow for live comparison of surgical and sonoanatomy. We will cater for a range of TOE experience and our TOE experts will be on hand to teach, refine or marvel at your echo skills.
For this meeting we will focus on the LV, aortic valve, root and proximal aorta but time allowing there will be an opportunity towards the end of the morning to informally dissect further structures to aid with orientation to the heart.
After the dissection there will be a break for lunch nearby (not provided) before our TOE meeting starts at 2pm. Drinks to be held near Bart’s after the meeting.
