
His special interests include difficult airway management, neuroanaesthesia, human factors and medical education.
He has authored seven books in anaesthesia and written chapters in two of the anaestheisa textbooks. He has published a series of papers with regard to newer techniques of advanced airway management and education.
He has organized and successfully delivered several educational courses including difficult airway management and SMART Anaesthesia course. He is a lead clinician for airway management and specialty lead for undergraduate teaching. Recently he has set up an Airway Lab at University Hospital, to train anesthetists and medical staff in advanced airway management techniques.
He is a member of difficult airway society and faculty at national difficult airway workshops. His current research interest includes emergency airway management, human factors and use of medium fidelity simulators in airway management.
