Could you be JAP’s next Consultant Editor?

An opportunity has arisen to become consultant editor for the online content of JAP. The role of consultant editor is to work alongside the editorial team and play an advisory role regarding online content submitted and also help identify and encourage peers to write and submit new research articles that will be of interest to our readers.

So, what qualities are we looking for? You will be an anaesthetist with an interest in current research and practice. You will be interested in working with the editorial staff to improve and add to JAP’s commitment to publishing original research, review material, and any comment on health policy and practice. You will need to commit to reviewing manuscripts as we send them on to you, so they can be uploaded to the website within a fairly short time frame.

We have a very dedicated readership of JAP, both via the website and the eshots we send out, so perhaps you might want to host an occasional discussion group about an important issue, or about a paper or report published elsewhere, we are always open to new ideas and suggestions.

Of course, your new role will also make a great addition to your CV!

If this is something you are interested in, please send us a brief biography of your career highlights and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Email JAP@barkerbrooks.co.uk
