Daisy Hill Hospital, in Newry, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland, has purchased a Kanmed Blanket Warming Cabinet from Central Medical Supplies (CMS).

The Kanmed Blanket Warming Cabinet will be used in the Renal Unit at Daisy Hill Hospital. The Cabinet was purchased following fundraising by hospital staff, led by Geraldine Rice, Renal Unit Staff Nurse. Geraldine Rice says: “The Kanmed Warming Cabinet has been life changing for our patients and we are already seeing the benefits it is having to the care we provide.”
The Kanmed Blanket Warming Cabinet is used in the pre operation and recovery area to warm blankets and other patient bedding material. The temperature in the Blanket Warming Cabinet can be set up to 80°C.
CMS is the sole UK distributor for Kanmed, a Swedish medical patient warming specialist. CMS and Kanmed have been in partnership for over 30 years.
