Sheffield-based healthcare firm B. Braun Medical Ltd has renewed its tier one sponsorship of Yorkshire Air Ambulance, helping the charity deliver its life-saving service to the region.
The company, which is one of YAA’s longest-running corporate partners, supports a wide-ranging sponsorship package.
This includes funding to help maintain YAA’s two aircraft and for the provision of helmets for aircrew and paramedics. B.Braun will also support two of the charity’s community vans which attend events throughout Yorkshire, and has funded one of two, state-of-the-art promotional vehicles.
Kitted out with wraparound screens, a flight console with a pilot seat and interchangeable graphics the vehicle aims to raise awareness of the work of the YAA at events and acts as a mobile education unit when the charity visits schools.
The YAA is an independent charity providing a lifesaving rapid response emergency service to five million people across the whole of Yorkshire. To keep both its helicopters maintained and in the air, the charity needs to raise £12,000 every single day.
Director of Fundraising (West & South) Kerry Dwyer, said: “B. Braun are one of our longest-standing supporters and we are immensely grateful for their continued support and helping us keep our helicopters in the air.
“As a charity, we rely on support from the general public and businesses to be able to continue providing our vital service to the people of Yorkshire. Long-standing relationships with organisations like B. Braun form the backbone of the funding we need to keep operating.”
B. Braun’s relationship with YAA started back in 2001, and the company has been recognised with a Platinum Award from the Pennies from Heaven Employee Workplace Giving Scheme for six years running for its employee fundraising contributions.
Paul Skelton, Joint MD at B. Braun Medical Ltd said: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which is a charity that provides a crucial service for the people of Yorkshire.
“Through things like sponsoring their promotional van, we have always tried to do our bit to help the YAA over the years. We know how costly it is to keep the helicopters airborne, so this latest package of support is intended to contribute towards that.
“Supporting charitable organisations like the YAA is hugely important to us at B. Braun and over the years our employees have established a culture of giving back to help those in need within our communities as much as we can.”
