NIAA grants open for applications

The National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA) has announced that the first round of grant applications for 2015 is now open. Grants are available from the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland, the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland, the British Journal of Anaesthesia/Royal College of Anaesthetists, the British Society of Orthopaedic Anaesthetists, the Difficult Airway Society, the Neuroanaesthesia Society of Great Britain & Ireland, the Obstetric Anaesthetists’ Association, Regional Anaesthesia UK and the Society for Education in Anaesthesia UK.
There will also be a joint grant of £40k from the Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthetists, The Vascular Anaesthesia Society of Great Britain & Ireland, and The British Journal of Anaesthesia & the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

The deadline for applications is noon on Friday 24 April 2015.
Please note that all NIAA grants are reviewed by a lay member of the grant panel and this review does have a bearing on the outcome of applications. If you don’t have any input from a lay person, you may wish to apply for support from the NIAA Health Services Research Centre’s Patient, Carer & Public Involvement Group.
