ABOUT EDITORIAL BOARD

A previous consultant editor of JAP, Dr Watts trained in the West Midlands and the North West, and, after being one of the last appointed Senior Registrars in England and Wales, became a consultant in 1998. He has fulfilled several senior management roles in the NHS since then, and has performed work for a number of bodies including the PHSO and NICE, which supplements his interest in patient safety.
